Jim is a magnet for attracting people to his cause. His magnetism also made him successful in business. (Very successful.) Last week, I asked him, “How do you do it?”
Jim said, “Doubt not.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
Then he told me his secrets. (All good nonprofit organizations could benefit from his advice.) He said, “You arouse enthusiasm when you are sure of your cause; when you are free from hesitation; when you don’t feel the need to convince.” He said, “Don’t doubt yourself. You will naturally attract enthusiasm when you have confidence in yourself, your cause, and the people you work with.”
I would add one more to his list: modesty. Jim didn’t want credit, and asked me not to use his last name. – Shar McBee
I just got your book. If you send me a note on the email I used for this comment, I’ll send you a copy of The Serving Church which is along the same lines of your book (I think, since I just downloaded it).
Let me know if I can help out.
