Ravens Quarterback
Joe Flacco’s critics have called him dull, criticized him for using the wrong words and for being a lightweight. He has taken public criticism from teammates and the Ravens’ owner. He’s been told that he commits too many turnovers, and his Fu Manchu mustache is unflattering. On Sunday his team won the Super Bowl and Flacco was voted “Most Valuable Player.” He will probably get a new $20 million contract.
When people demean you, remember this: They can throw mud on a diamond, but it is still a diamond.
