I Hope You Lose

How do you know if you are a good leader?  You can only tell a good tree from a bad one “by its fruits.”

If you are a good leader, the people you are leading will be productive and energetic.  If your organization is full of gossip, cynicism and distrust…you are a not a good leader.  (Or not the right leader for this group.)

Why do I hope you lose?

We grow much more by doing it wrong than by doing it right.  (Yet most “leaders” go to extremes to always be right.  Or, after a failure they become agreeable but when things improve they revert to arrogant self-confidence.)

Failure and loss – it’s not that it might happen.  It will happen.  I don’t hope you lose, but when you do, I hope you become great from it.  It’s part of the leadership journey. – Shar McBee
